Davide and Cele
Borin in Torino, Italy and raised in Firenze, Davide learned how to cook from his mother. He brags that it was the best culinary school in the world.
As a young man Davide emigrated to New York where he worked as a fashion photographer. He entertained clients in his studio after his shoots, preparing fanciful repasts based on his mother's teachings. Over time, he found even greater joy creating art on china instead of on film, so Davide apprenticed under some of New York's finest chefs, learning how to masterfully prepare mouthwatering meals for a dining room full of people.
Cele was raised up north, down under - in Townsville, Australia. As a young woman, the ocean called. And Cele answered, weighing anchor for points on the compass rose. After circumnavigating the globe, Cele made the BVI her homeport, where shw crewed and captained charter boats.
Davide left the frantic pace of New York in search of calmer waters, and arrived in the BVI about the same time Cele did. They met as hosts on charter boat vacations for BVI visitors. For Davide and Cele, the British Virgin Islands are truly an international intersection that brought them together as life and business partners.
Preparing food - simple or sumptuous - became Davide's passion. Now it's how he relaxes. Even on Sundays when Brandywine Bay Restaurant is closed, Davide creates unique meals for friends and family on his deserted beach on Scrub Island, or in a friend's kitchen.
